I wanted to create this in two separate EPs and Unattended is the first release. I have been asked so many times to record live versions of my music through out my career and this is what gave me the inspiration to create Unattended.

All of the four original songs on this album were recorded in a very live way. A few mics around me in a room, recording the vocals and guitar live together. There was no fixing up things and re-doing parts in the studio! A single take with all the honesty and rawness of a live unplugged gig. I then added a very minimal overlay of guitar to the track with the live track in my headphones as if I had the chance to jump in and just jam along with myself at a live show! It was fun :)

The song choices have been songs from different parts of my music career too. Songs I wrote when I was just starting out my solo career and two songs I wrote while I was performing and touring in the duo We Steal Flyers. These songs have took on a little bit of a different feel these days and playing and performing them as acoustic as possible definitely gave them all a complete different feel.

I also had a great friend of mine 'Brian Home' a musician and songwriter from Ashington, join me for one of the tracks on a spur of the moment!

I hope you enjoy the honesty and live feel feel throughout these versions of my own songs. Shaggy
